I think that in the setup of your location you should set "Require recieve" to true.
Then you should add a seperate recieve step between step 2 and 3 in your list so put away will be step no. 4.
I follow the following steps to receive my item
1- create purchase order and specify location require put away
2-release purchase
3- create inventory put away
4- post receiving from inventory put away page
So could you tell me at what step should I add over receipt code and quantity
And i was trying to explain to you that you can not set the higher quantity at that stage, you need to do it in the step where you recieve the items not when you put them away. You can not put away something you did not recieve.
That’s possible at warehouse receipt is to set over receipt code & quantity but am talking about inventory put away page ,this page hasn’t the mentioned fields
I think you need to do this at the step where you recieve the quantity and that is before put away - so your warehouse reciepte is the latest step you can do over recieve quantity. At put away it is too late.
