CRM 2015 Plug-in on Email to Lead Conversion

Hi All,
I am going to write a plug-in on Lead, is there any property or event that i can use to differentiate if the lead is created by converting an email to lead. Need to set a field based on that.
It is CRM 2015 on Prem.

    I don't think there is a specific property that defines this. When an email is converted to a lead, 2 changes happen:

    1. The lead is created
    2. The email is updated to set the regardingobjectid to the new lead. I think this also updates the activityparty record for the From recipient

    I think these are sent as 2 independent requests. You could try writing a plugin on the update of the email to check if the regardingobjectid is being set to a lead that was created by the same user and very recently

    I have implemented similar functionality on email to case create where the plugin context on the case pre create has message name in the parentcontext as "convertactivity" which allowed me to write some custom logic, but its not the same with email to Lead. So I am looking for some help if somebody has done anything like this before on lead.

    Do a plugin step on PostCreateLead Async, retrieve with a queryExpression a list of email who targeting to this lead. If have at least one, run your custom code.
