Can I use VSCode to develop and build CRM Plugins and Workflows?

Hi everyone.  I'm just curious, without using full Visual Studio can I use VS Code to build DLLs for CRM after downloading the SDK and registering the appropriate DLLs into the project?

https://code.visualstudio.com/

Also would DLL's built on Linux or Mac import and work into CRM now that VSCode is cross platform? I just wasn't sure if anyone had tried this.

Thanks.

I haven't tried this, but this wouldn't be my tool of choice for plugin development. There are some great tools for Visual Studio to speed up your development en deployment process. And with vscode you're not able to do debugging.

For javascript (and especially Typescript) development however, I love visual studio code.
