Greyed out cell that cannot be updated

I have inherited a Dynamics application and I am fairly new to Dynamics.

The customer has a form for the opportunities entity  form on which a field called Branch is linked via a lookup to the Sites entity that in the standard OOB can be updated using a the standard lookup action on the form. The Customer has a PowerApps built model Driven app that has an updated default opportunity from basically the same but the layout has the tabs across the top rather than down the page. In This form the Branch field is grey when clicked on and cannot be updated.

I'm probably missing something basic her but why?

Also not sure if it's related but when I validate the App I get this warning - The Site entity isn’t valid for the chosen client, and won’t be shown at runtime.

Thanks In advance for you help

Matt

    Hi partner,

This is by design. It is a limitation by design. Sites cannot be used as lookup fields in UCI.

Scheduling, now built atop Universal Resource Scheduling (URS), provides an efficient way to schedule resources for service activity.

The new experience lists the entities as follows, as compared to the legacy experience:

    Legacy Scheduling           New Scheduling
    Facilities/Equipment Facilities/Equipment, Resources
    Service Service, Requirement Groups
    Resource Groups Resource Categories
    Sites Organizational Units
    Business Closure Business Closure
    Service Calendar Schedule Board
    Service Activity Service Activity

The set up experience is different based on the following scenarios:

    • For a new Dynamics 365 Customer Service environment, by default, the Core Service Scheduling solutions will be installed. You can access scheduling from Customer service hub app site map. To learn more, see Access scheduling in the Customer Service Hub.

    • For an existing Dynamics 365 Customer Service organization, you must install the service scheduling solutions from the Microsoft 365 admin center. To learn more, see Install the Scheduling solutions.

The above information is from this document:

This is a theme with the same problem:
