my company tracks emails in CRM as tasks for the user who sent the original email. when the initial email is sent and task created, the user who sent the email to the customer shows as the owner of the task. But when the customer replies to that email thread, the task created from that reply shows a different CRM user as the owner. And this happens to each email reply sent to my company, regardless of the user who sent the initial email. And it only happens to customer reply emails. its always the same user showing as the owner of the email reply task. my company would like the user who sent the initial email in the thread to be the owner of each email task created so that the task is tracked correctly. Does anyone happen to have a solution for this issue? my hours of internet research have got me nowhere. we are using CRM 2011.
