5Follow these steps to Install and Activate System Mechanic Pro:
First Computer (Already has System Mechanic Ultimate Defense)
- Open System Mechanic.
- In the red menu bar, click the Key icon and select Product Information. This will show you your Activation Key.
- Through email or chat, send this Activation Key to the additional device you will be installing System Mechanic on.
Second Computer
- Access the System Mechanic Ultimate Defense installation file by typing “smu.iolo.com” into your web browser.
- Choose a destination folder and click Save to save a copy of the installation file.
- Open up the saved installation file through your browser’s Download Manager. Alternatively, navigate to the destination folder and open the .exe file. If the user account control window appears, you’re going to want to click Yes.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to work through the installation wizard and complete the process.
- After clicking finish, System Mechanic Ultimate Defense may automatically begin your first analysis.
- After the system analysis finishes, click the large Activate Now button. If prompted, enter the email address that was used when this Whole Home License® of System Mechanic was purchased.
- When prompted, paste the Activation Key you emailed to this device and click Activate Now.
