I want to be able to install a company in GP2010 in German for our client in Germany. Have the database on the same SQL 2008 instance as our current GP databases. Is this possible if so what are the steps I need to take to accomplish this?
Any suggestions is helpful.

Hi Kevin,
Official languages for GP2010 that are provided by MS are only French, English and Spanish.. Other languages may have been added by partners or ISV's for foreign countries by using 3rd party tools, but those are the only one officially supported.
Have a look at this video to see how you eventually customize the interface to translate all the fixed string in the resources dictionnaries (be warned that this could be a huge task ) and that it will require you to buy a license for the Modifier tool for GP :

There is no full translated German version of GP 10 Kevin. You can install GP using the English media and select Germany as the country which will use local settings such as taxes. I would recommend you review the following KB:
