Hi,

In GP 2010, how can we activate the "Account security" under the company setup? Because it looks like we do not have this option for now. See below

Probably this will help for my precious "Post".

Thank you

It's likely that Account Level Security isn't enabled. You can check this via Administration >> Setup >> System Registration and see if the checkbox is marked; if it isn't then mark it

I have followed up the previous threads related to activating the Account Level Security. Apart from the registration issue, you may need to consider a detailed reference for activating Account Level Security

Let us know if you need any further assistance,

    Hi,

Did you know how to activate the Option "Organizational assignment" under Card/System menu?

    Thanks for your help

    Mahmoud,

If i understand correctly, i have to assign GL account to the Organizational Structure. Right?

And it will be possible to have specific account assign to an Organizational Structure, and some account not assign. Is it correct?

    Thanks

I have tried various possible scenarios, and the "Organizational Assignment" is there. Have you tried a different installation on a different machine ? This window should be there. One question here, can you assign each of the accounts solely from the account maintenance window (Cards > Financial > Account) ? There is a hierarchy button next to the account number field, is it there in your environment ?

As for your question of the accounts which are not assigned, it is true that these accounts could be left un-assigned. Meanwhile, you can have some users configured to have access on all the accounts by checking the check box to grant access to all accounts, check it out here

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,
