Select Transaction for Report Using in HAP

Hi everyone,

can someone told me what is the used of this option in Historical AP report?

I pretty much assumed whatever we choose the result will be the same (after I checked with other company)

because I have a case that when I used GL Posting Date the result is different when I used Document date.

can someone told me what the exact used of this option?

    Each subledger transaction in Dynamics GP has a Document Date and a GL Posting Date. These can be different if desired - for example, I might get an invoice dated March 5 for February work. I can enter this into GP with a Document Date of March 5, and a GL Posting Date of February 29.

    The option you are asking about on the report determines which set of dates the report logic will look at. Typically, if you are reconciling your subledger to the General Ledger, you will want to choose the GL Posting Date and if you are looking to get a true aging of your payables, then you will want to choose the Document Date.
