How to Learn Dynamics GP Financial

I am a Business Intelligence Developer & SQL SERVER DBA. I am also Pursuing Certified Public accountant certification. I am interested in Learning Dynamics GP Financial Module but don't know where to start and How to go about it, what are the career prospects. 

Appreciate any help in this direction.

    Ideally, you should have access to Dynamics GP.  If you don't, you can download a demo version of it from Microsoft and install it on your PC.  Then, I would get a copy of Dynamics GP for Dummies.  work your way through that book so that you have enough basic knowledge to navigate through GP.  Then, start using it and take full advantage of GP Help and the Printable Manuals.

    That will give you a good start.  Once you have a good solid foundation in GP, you can advance to more in depth learning materials.  Just search on Dynamics GP training.  There are a lot of resources available.

    Thank You Frank. This is helpful. Do you know what are the career prospects in Dynamics GP for a person coming from SQL SERVER and BI background and pursuing CPA. Not Sure about the outcome of this whole exercise.

    Considering that there are between 25,000 and 50,000 installs of GP worldwide and that number continues to grow each day, and your background and credentials, I think your prospects for developing a rewarding career are very favorable.  What part of the world are you located Vikas?

    Frank, I am located in Texas, US working as SQL Server DBA and BI Developer, Pursuing Certified Public Accountant and trying to make a move towards functional side (Finance & Accounting) in specific. Currently I am exploring my options to enter into these Business Decision Tools but not sure which ones are going to fetch me a career. Also I am trying to compare GP Vs AX for the same reason, if you could throw some light in this direction.

    Vikas, I can't really speak to GP vs. AX as I'm not an AX consultant.  One of the things I do to gauge the health of the consulting market is to look at job postings on some of the larger VARs like Tribridge, IBIS, etc.  Demand for different specialties as indicated in job postings I think is a good indicator of where the market is headed and hence the opportunities within the market.
