Hi:
I have done this, before. So, I don't know why I'm having an issue with this all of a sudden.
In Power BI Desktop, I'm logged in with Business Central administrative credentials.
But, when I choose Get Data...Online Services...Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, I'm not connected to the correct environment. I'm connected to a different company's environment.
Perhaps, is this happening because I only have a free license to the environment that I want to access? I didn't think that I would need a Pro license just to access the data from Business Central in Power BI Desktop.
Otherwise, what am I doing wrong?
Thanks!
John
Thank you, Francisco! This is exactly what I needed!
Before, even logging in the "old fashioned way" and using the credentials of the organizational environment did not work.
Your way worked! Thanks, again!
John
Hey John,
When we connect Power BI to Business Central SAAS (not on prem ) , it asks us to login to BC if not already logged in.
So what you can do, log out of BC, connect PBI to BC via Get data-> online services and then PBI will ask you to login to BC. Provide your credentials, amd then check if correct company is coming or not.
File - Setup and options - data setup
Edit Permission - start as another user
or delete permissions
and start a new connection again
