Hi all, 

Hoping for some guidance.  I'm trying to access my Store Administrator and I'm getting a message "To connect to this server you must use SQL Server Management Studio or SQL Server Management Objects (SMO)"

I just want to change my database for a presentation tomorrow and it is not allowing me in.  I have in my Programs Microsoft SQL Server 200008 RS.  I've gone into the Management Studio and logged into the database there, but that has not allowed me access within the RMS Store Operations Administrator.

Clearly I'm missing some linkage.  Any guidance will be welcome.

    install SQL server 2005 backward compatibility in your PC.

    Hello Barb,

    Ramy is correct, you will need to install the SQL Backwards compatibility on all computers getting this error.

    You can download the backwards compatibility here:

    For 32-bit version of Windows:

    download.microsoft.com/.../SQLServer2005_BC.msi

    For 64-bit version of Windows:

    download.microsoft.com/.../SQLServer2005_BC_x64.msi
