Importing Attribute Values - Table 7505 (integers)

Hello,

I was recently tasked with importing all of our old inventory into Business Central. I have been using Excel to import items, attributes, and attribute values.

I use Table 7505 to assign attribute values to all the items I have, but I am unsure of how to import integer/decimal values, if at all possible like this.

Table.jpg

Here is a sample of table 7505.

Say for example, Attribute ID 214 is Manufacture, and the value ID 938 is Microsoft. That imports correctly. But if attribute 240 is # of cores, how can I import a value of 4, 8, 16 etc without assigning attribute value IDs to each integer. The reason I want to do this is because I have many to many unique integer values to assign value IDs to. (i.e CPU wattage can range from 70 to 200W).

My question is can I use a similar method to what I am doing now to import the integer/decimal values for all my items without assigning attribute value IDs to each one?

This is my first time using Business central and this forum. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hello,

If it is possible to use Excel for data input via formulas, then this may work or at least give you less admin work?

    Thanks.

    Hi Marco,

I am able to edit Business central data directly in Excel now. Is there a way to edit table 7505 in this manner?

    Hello,

I tried this myself via a page and that does not seem to give the required business outcome. In the configuration packages I added tables 7500 - 7506 as I think they are all related to each other and should be used in one package.

Best is to either raise a support request so that we can track it and ask assistance from the product group if needed or you raise a feature request so that we can look into it and make the process more user friendly.

Still, data input is a manual job.

    Thanks.
