  • Launch the Registry Editor (Start ->Run -> regedit)

  • Delete the following registry keys if available in the registry editor .

We even tried installing from the default download location (C:\Users\<alias>\Downloads\SetupClient.exe) and it is still getting failed with the same error - Microsoft Outlook isn't installed .

A little help here? I am seeing same issue on machines upgraded from Office 2013 to Office 2016 and upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Should I be giving the advise to stay on Windows 7 and Office 2013 for all my CRM users? Do I need to give up on upgrades and just do fresh Windows 10 installs anytime I need to upgrade software? It would be nice if Microsoft products worked together seamlessly. Would be nice if Microsoft behave like one cohesive team of developers who all worked together to make every application work together.
