Turning managed into unmanaged

I'm  working on some upgrades and have a serious problem,

The dev system I'm working on has been copied back from a production evnvironment. The problem is, everything in dev is now managed.

I need to change web resources, at least one form, and a ribbon.

Does anybody know a way out of this?

Thanks

How long ago was the update?  Are you online?  You may be able to revert through the admin center.

I have backups for a week, its automatically done, but this is for cloud based.

I'm not sure when it was done (i suspect it might have been a while ago).

    Hi Lee-Martin,

There are no supported methods for converting a managed solution into an unmanaged solution, but if you want to give an unsupported method a shot you can:

    1. Extract the solution.xml file from your managed zip file.
    2. Edit the value from 1 (Managed) to 0 (Unmanaged) for the <Managed> tag. The tags approximate location is on line 9 of the solution.xml file.
    3. Load and overwrite the edited solution.xml file into the zip file. Make sure that you do not just extract all of the files and zip them all back up as when you will try to import the solution it will fail.
    4. Import the modified zip file into your system.

    Thanks

The probem isn't the solution, the problem is that everything is managed. I have an unmanaged solution, but it's only adding managed components.

    Hi Lee-Martin,

The best course of action here is to restore a backup.  You can do that from the Admin Center.
