Security Filter for batch journal in purchase journal screen

hello everyone

as part of user securities, i have one of my Dynamics 365 Business Central users that has limited access to specific screens such as purchase journal, and to avoid the complicated work on permission sets, i have kept that user on full access permission set but i controlled that his page access by personalization and i managed to give him access to the screens that i want to give him access to.

now i am in the second part of this process which is giving this user access to a specific batch for purchase journal screen, therefore, i was able to apply a security filter on table number 232 (Gen. Journal Batch) using both fields 1 (Journal Template Name) and 2 (Name)

this actually worked fine for the first value (batch name) and the user can see one specific batch now, however, when i tried to change the filtered value on field number 2 (name) in order to change the access of that user to another batch, the system is preventing that user from opening purchase journal screen and it shows this message” A security filter has been applied to table Gen. Journal Batch. You cannot access records that are outside of this filter. Page Edit - Purchase Journals has to close.

and whenever i change the filtered value of that field back to the first value that i have inserted, everything works perfectly. i really dont know whats wrong, its like whenever i try to change the value its not saving it and it only saves the first value only for the first time only !

what i am looking for is to give access to more than one batch for that particular user

I have the same question (0)

    Hello,

If you are able to reproduce this scenario in a standard CRONUS company, feel free to raise it to Micrsosoft via your partner or CSP.

    Thanks.
