We just upgraded from GP2010 to GP2013 R2.  When we try to post journal entries through series post, we get the following error:  you have not marked any batches for posting.  If we just say okay and then try to post again, it will post.  Any ideas?

    Hello Terri

    I just want to have things cleared up, this is a usual validation message indicating that no batches have been selected for posting as seen below;

    How would your case be any different ?

    Do you leave the batches unchecked and click the posting for the first time and nothing is posted, then if you click the post again (batches are still unchecked), they got all posted ?

    Your feedback is highly appreciated,

    Mahmoud's question is a good one.  I am assuming the problem is you have selected one or more batches in the Series Posting window, and you receive this error anyway?  If this is correct, here is a link to a solution to a similar problem:

    I would suggest to look into the batch recovery in the adm. module. Sometimes due to errors at the time of entry batches are not allowed to post.

    There's actually a known issue for this one (Quality Issue #78309).

    As per the issue clicking post again will allow you to post. Most of the time if you switch to using the menu bar instead of the action pane it'll resolve the issue as well. Issue typically only appears to occur with Financials series post and regional settings may also factor into the issue as well.

    1) In GP Click on Microsoft>Dynamics GP>User Preferences.

    2) IN the Window Command Display drop down choose Menu Bar.

    3) Click OK.

    4) Close and reopen GP.

    Do you know if this is scheduled to be fixed?
