Quotes Behavior

Hey All,

I hope all is well. I had a question surrounding the behavior of quotes. I have a client who wants to maintain Historical Prices on quotes. For that, they are using the Override Price toggle. But for revisions of these quotes, we need to have the quote automatically update with the newest prices on the price list. Is this possible?
I have the same question (0)

    Hi Partner,
Only migrate quotes to another environment? Where are the other records? Products, price lists,...
--The quote is related to quote line, quote line is related to product, the product is related to price list, and the price list is related to price list item.
--The interconnection of these tables is used to determine the final price of the quote.
If you only migrate quotes, and the other records associated with them are from that environment, then it will be the price list from that environment that determines.

    Hi,

I think that would accomplish what they want to do. Their main concern is that the quotes they have migrated into their other environment, the price lists in that environment are priced differently. So, if they migrate these quotes and decide to revise them, will the quote now reflect the new price list prices or the ones that they had in the source environment.

    Hi Partner,
    Override Price toggle?
Are you referring to this Pricing field value on the quote line?
If the quote was revised, you want to this field switch to off on the quote lines of the revised quote, right?
If so, you can use workflow/flow to change field value automatically.
If I've misunderstood, can you provide more details?

I hope you can mark my answer verified if it is helpful! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
    Regards,
    Leah
