CRM 2013 - Required field not required for some users

Hi everyone,

I have a bit of a strange issue. I added a lookup field onto the Appointment form. I made this a Required field, for some users, the field is Required. All Users can see the red asterisk against the field, for some users, they can save the record without populating the Required field. In some cases, Users are seeing a Lock symbol against the field. However, the field doesn't have any field security around it.

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Katie

    Hi,

How do you make the field business required?

Make sure you make the field business required by going to the fields and open the fields and set business required .  In addition also try to make the relationship ob the entities business required .

Thanks! I just checked and both the field and Relationship have been set to "Business Required". Any other ideas?

    Many thanks

    Katie

Business requirement of any field does not depends on security role/Users until and unless you write any custom logic or business rules  . Make sure you don't have any custom logic or business rules.

Could you please remove the lookup and add the lookup field again . In addition to make sure the field is business required go to form  editor and double click the fields --> go to details tab -->click on edit -->Make sure fields set business required.

Thanks. There is no custom logic or business rules. I checked that already. I tried removing the field and adding it again but still no luck :(
