Hi,
we have generated a Subcontracting order from a production order but when we select 'Create Trasf, Ord to Subcontractor' systems shown the following message: Components to send to subcontractor do not exist.
As you can see in the attach document, the production order have the relative component.
Can you help us to resolve this issue?
Thank you
Andrea

    Hi,

there’s no standard “Create Transfer Order to Subcontractor” action in vanilla Business Central (that button typically comes from localizations/ISV add-ons). In standard BC you do it like this:
    What to do instead
    1. Create the subcontracting PO from the Subcontracting Worksheet (ties to the prod. order/routing op).
    2. Ship components to the Subcontractor Location using regular Transfer Orders (one per from-location as needed). MRP can also suggest transfers to that location once demand exists there.
    3. Make sure on the Prod. Order Components the lines have Operation No. set and Supply to Subcontractor (or equivalent) flagged; release/refresh the prod. order so they flow into the worksheet.
If you do see a “subcontracting order → send materials” function, you’re likely on a localization or an ISV app that adds that logistics flow—process differs there

    Hi,

Creating a Transfer Order to a subcontractor is not a standard feature in Business Central. Out of the box, BC supports subcontracting through Purchase Orders linked to routing operations, not via Transfer Orders.
The error you’re seeing (“Components to send to subcontractor do not exist”) usually appears in customizations or ISV solutions that extend subcontracting functionality.

    Thanks

    Hi,
thanks for your answer but in our instance there aren't custom. For Italian Localitazion, this functionality appears to be fairly standard.
Can you help us to resolve this issue?

    Regards
    Andrea

    Hi,

The function “Create Transf. Ord. to Subcontractor” is not a standard Business Central feature out-of-the-box. It sounds like a customization or an ISV add-on built on top of the standard Subcontracting functionality in Manufacturing.

Hi, If you think this is a localized feature, you can submit it to the BC Yammer Group below, where Microsoft technicians will see it and give you a more accurate response.

    Thanks
