Cycle count by item - days between cycle count doesn't work

I've setup cycle count by item, but the days between cycle count doesn't seem to work on item level.

Does anyone have a solution if I only want to count an item once per 6 months?

I have the same question (1)

    Hi Tamira,

You can schedule cycle counting plans to create cycle counting work immediately or periodically.

By setting up cycle counting plans, you can control the work pool that cycle counting work is created for, the maximum number of cycle counts that are created for items in different locations, and the number of days before a warehouse location is counted again.

    Best Regards,

    Charlotte

    Hi Charlotte,

    Thanks for you quick reply.

But it means if I want to count a few items per day, that I need to have a plan per day?

    Best regards, Tamira

It' not necessary to have a plan per day.

Cycle count plans let you automate the creation of cycle counting work.

You can set up each cycle count plan with specific item and location queries.

When the batch job runs, it will create cycle counting work for all locations that match the item and location criteria.

But I'm using the Cycle count plan product selections, and Days between cycle count being 30 for example.

I've counted the item 1st of November, so I don't expect count work to be created if I run the plan today. But it creates count work for the same location same item.

If this is the case, using a partial position cycle counting may meet your requirements:

Can someone provide a clarification to this feature. It's not apparent how it works. My scenario is like this:

    - We have items: A, B, C
    - Days between cycle counting is set to 5
    - Counting history is: Counted A on Day 1, B on Day 2, C on Day 3
    - I run Cycle Counting again on Day 6, 5 days have passed and I expect to generate cycle counting only for Item A and not for B and C because their Cycle Counting was done within 5 days. But still D365 F&O generates cycle counting for all the 3 items

Why is this so? Can someone explain how to solve the problem? Waiting. Thanks.
