We are trialing CRM 2011 for use in my son's sole practice law office. Some of his clients are funded by a Government Agency and are assigned an agency reference number (LSA#) We have added this field to the contact form. We would now like to use this field as a lookup field on an activity form. We have created the new field for the activity form, but the actual lookup properties seem to always default to the actual contact name. Is it possible to lookup a specific field on the Contact Form. WE have modified the contact form and given it a new name of Law Firm and set it as the fallback form.

The lookup field will always reference the primary field on the connected entity.

What I've done in the past is to rename the primary field to whatever I want it to appear on the Lookup field and use a custom field for the old primary field.

For Example, If I wanted the Account Number to be my primary field and show up on the Lookups pointing to Accounts, then I would rename Account Name to Account Number and Account Number to Account Name to be able to display the Account Number on the lookups.
