What tool, Report, View, etc. can be used to view a summary of the usage of raw materials.  For example, how many of each SKU did we use so far this year?

    Hi, Item tracing functionality can help you use item tracing to identify where items or raw materials have been used, are being used, or will be used in production and sales processes.

    Thanks Judy!  I will definitely check out item tracing, although I don't think that feature really suits my needs for this requirement.  Our buyers need to know the Top X fasteners in use to set up Vendor Managed Programs and to target items for cost saving alternatives.  Our Designers need to find all the 1/4" screws that are in active use so that they choose common components.  It just seems like such a common requirement that I can't believe it isn't a standard view in D365.  In AX2012, I created a static field on the Invent Table with CY Usage and LY usage.  I setup a batch to update it daily.  I will re-implement a similar solution in D365.
