MRP doesnot consider the on-hand inventory

Hello All,

Hope you are doing well.

I have a issue on the MRP. It does not consider the on-hand inventory. Please check the screenshots below.

1. Formula.

2.Master plan setup.

3.Sales order.

4.The inventory of material test0202.

5.The result after running MRP. System should not create the planned order for test0202.

Which setup is missing? Any response is appreciated.

Hello all,

I hope you and you your families are doing well.

I had similar issues in the past when order date on source document (e.g. here SO) was out of range with specified time fence on masterplan and master planning runs was not considering/updating to correct quantities on planned orders . I also saw time fence is unchecked in the above screenshot for coverage - is this on purpose for any specific reason?

On the Storage dimension group for Item test0202, is Coverage plan by dimension ticked on the Warehouse line?

Update: if run the Master plan with the filter "Item number= test02*", the on-hand of test0202 can be considered.

But if the filter is "Item number= test02", MRP will not consider the test0202 onhand inventory.

Is it correct?

Yes, the Coverage plan by dimension is ticked on the Warehouse line.

Hi Hello World,

if you filtered by test02m the onhand of test0202 is not considered, it's very possible the reqtrans of test0202 onhand is not correctly created. Can you try to clean up the plan and then run MRP without item filter to let system creating correct reqtrans?
