Bugs, what bugs?
Oh, you mean the ones they fixed in 1002, 1003, 1004, 1005 and 1006 released last week?
How about the new ones they introduced in .1002, .1003, .1004, .1005 and .1006 released last week! ;-)
download and install OPOS CCO from monroecs.com/oposccos_current.htm
I suggest 1.11.0 version or before.
I have RMS running very well on Windows 8. You will need to upgrade to or install SQL 2008R2 or newer. Aslo make sure you install FP2.
i will try that order and also send it directly trought the partner sourse. i had this problem for a wile now just never had any time to do anything about it. i wanted all the bugs sorted out before i started to install 2.0.1000 on our clients
Dunno, we've installed it on about 10 machines now without issue. Did you install while logged in as an Administrator? We installed SQL2k12 first and then the RMS 2.0 base package, FP1, SP4, FP2, then .1004

i have tryed repair, reinstall, hotfix 2.0.1004, repair sql 2008. the only way y can run 2.0.1000 up is if i configure the administrator first . and after i jump to 2.0.1 or higer it stops working (administrator). today i had to make an instalation and had to remove the database to another pc and then upgrade the database and reatach itback to the windows 8 pc . to be able to run 2.0.1004 on windows 8. i really need this to be fix. lots of customers buying windows 8 now.
We have RMS 2.0.1004 on some test machines running 8. Need to install SQL2k8 or above first.
Try doing a repair of RMS in Programs and Features.
Feature Pack 2 has been tested a little by the devs, and there appears to be no issues, but they have not certified it as a supported operating system yet. I believe it is still int he process of being tested. As for the Active X error, try reinstalling RMS after you have Windows 8 installed.
