Hi Everyone,

In Business Central's Edit in Excel functionality, we can edit the data present in the Sales Line Easily.

Is it possible to edit the data which is present on opening any of the action of Sales Line i.e., any sub data related to the Sales Line through Edit in Excel functionality? If yes, can anyone help me with the same?

Hi Ankit,

The Edit in Excel functionality in Business Central only supports main tables exposed via standard or custom web services (like Sales Header or Sales Line). Unfortunately, subpages or actions linked to Sales Lines (e.g. item tracking, reservations, or extended details) are not directly editable through Edit in Excel.

To achieve this:

You would need to expose those related tables (like "Reservation Entry", etc.) as separate web services.

Then, users can Edit in Excel for those specific tables, but not as part of the Sales Line view.

Hi, You can switch tables using the following method, but you need to judge for yourself what related tables to use, as the system will not give you any prompts.

Hope this can give you some hints.
