Hello,
There is surprisingly little documentation out there about this, which makes me think perhaps it's not a supported configuration, or there has been very little public documentation about it. I can find a single Microsoft KB article about it, and a couple old threads here.
We need to setup our Dynamics GP 2016 application in a way that the Database is not a single point of failure. Since we have staff all over the globe using the application, a database outage is not acceptable.
Since we're on AWS, my preference would be to put the GP database on RDS. However, I cannot find any documentation that supports this configuration. Even just for a straightforward MSSQL Database Cluster, there isn't much documentation about this either.
My question is this:
1. Has anyone successfully deployed Dynamics GP 2016 to AWS RDS?
2. If not #1, has anyone successfully deployed Dynamics GP 2016 to an MSSQL Cluster?
Appreciate any guidance you can provide.

I have the same question (0)Hi @mAurelius,
This isn't really a supported configuration by Microsoft.. but they do have documentation about log shipping.
Here's another forum post that might point you in the right direction : community.dynamics.com/.../286763
Your best bet seems to go with the new AlwaysOn features from SQL 2014 & up.
