Wisdom in building an Indexed View

Are there any drawbacks to creating an indexed view which are specific to GP?  I'm new to GP and have a situation in which I believe that an indexed view will help but before I would like to know the implications of SCHEMABINDING in regards to upgrades and patches.

    I have found this to be impossible without recreating the GP tables with the option ANSI_NULLS on.  I'm reluctant to do that without knowing the implications.  Anyone else tried this?
