Can CRM2013 share same database server with SharePoint 2013 (are there pitfalls)

For the deployment of CRM 2013, I have been asked to use the SQL 2012 server that already has SharePoint on its own database instance. SharePoint is already using the default reporting services. Can I use the default database instance for CRM and would I need to create a separate reporting service instance. Any feedback very welcome and appreciated.

    They can share the same db server but you would need a different server to do the native SSRS instance.  in smaller (normally test) environments in the past you can share one db server, put CRM on it's own SQL instance on a shared db server and put SSRS on the CRM server and just host the db's back to the sql server.  However, that means you have to be very very careful with your port assignments for things during the installs.

    You can use same database server but make sure that report servers are different.
