Custom E-signature implementation in Dynamics 365

Hello Experts,

We are in need to implement a custom solution to provide e-signature functionality in Dynamics 365 for one of our clients. The client is not open to use third-party solutions or apps. They want us to implement some custom solution for them to enable to send contracts to their customers for e-signature and once signed, the documents should be saved in CRM.

Please help us with some open-source DLL's, custom code or .Net inbuilt methods to achieve e-signing of the documents in order to complete the aforesaid functionality.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thank you,

RE: Custom E-signature implementation in Dynamics 365

    Hello,

    Thanks for the suggestion.

Our requirement is not to capture the signature on CRM entity forms but to send documents like Contracts to the customers for e-signature. And once the documents are signed, they should be saved in CRM.

The functionality can be easily achieved using 3rd party tools like DocuSign, Adobe Sign etc but the client is not open for such tools instead they require some custom implementation.

Thus, please suggest ways on how to implement e-signature in the documents in CRM either using word templates or any open source solution. Also, we need to track if the document is signed or not.

    Please suggest.

    Hi,

You can use signature control. Only problem with signature control is, it is used only in mobile or tablet but not on web.

Here is more information on how to capture signature.

    www.powerobjects.com/.../capturing-signatures-in-dynamics-365

Once signature is captured, you can put this signature in SSRS report and you can generate document.

If you want to web, then you can use javascript plugins like jSignature

    willowsystems.github.io/jSignature

for jSignature, you can create Html web resource, referencing to jSignature lib. and you can capture signature, save it in CRM and then show it in SSRS report.

Hope this will give you idea.
