GP2010 Client Install on 64 bit Laptop

I have recently installed GP2010 on a 64 bit laptop running Windows 7 SP1. I updated the DYNAMICS.SET file to point to Program Files (x86) to find the dictionaries. All functions in GP2010 work except for the Help menu. When I click on Help, I get a drop down menu, when I try to select from the drop down menu I just receive a blank Window. Is there another configuration file I need to update to find the Help files?

GP should have installed to Program Files (x86) by default; did you force it to the x64 folder?

No, I installed it in the Program Files (x86) folder

I had to create a Program Files/Microsoft Dynamics/GP2010 folder and copy all of the Help files into this 64 bit directory and Help worked. I'm sure this is not the preferred method but it works.

    Hi Strick,

It is possible that the CHM file is blocked if you are running it on Windows 7 SP1.

Can you verify if the CHM file Properties are not blocked by going to the file location of the CHM file C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Dynamics\GP2010\Documentation and right click on the TOC.CHM file.

If in the Properties >> General TAB the file doesn't show blocked then you might have to tweak the registry but I don't have the configuration with me right now but can provide it later.
