I have created a GL Batch Approval Workflow that requires approval for any general journal entry batch. However, we import some AR data from an outside source and use SmartConnect to bring that data into GP. This data comes in as a general journal entry batch. This causes the batches to enter the Workflow. I would like to create an exception that these batches do NOT have to through the approval workflow. I want to be able to post the batches immediately after the integration runs.
The batches in question will always have the same batch name. I created an exception where the batch ID is not equal to [Insert Batch Name]. I repeated this for the 4 batches that will come in every day. However, when I pulled up the batch in GP, it was asking to submit it for approval.
I tried changing is not equal to does not contain. That did not work. How can I create this exception? Is SmartConnect doing something in the background? Thanks in advance for any help!
