How to tag record in CRM 2013 as private and secured so it won't be shown to all team?

how to enable a security flag for a record (account, contact, task/activity ...etc) as private or confidential or secured so it will not be available to all other CRM users except for those who work on it?

    This could be done using Business units and security roles.

    this blog post explains it

    but it could be tricky to set up.

    the only other way if you want to flag certain records would be to use Javascript and add customization to all the entities you want this to apply to (quite a big job considering the amount of entities you have specified
