Ian, do you have a Functional Currency assigned in Financial>>Setup>>Multicurrency?

Did you follow the Multicurrency Setup Checklist Items? Microsoft Dynamics GP >> Tools >> Setup >> Setup CheckList in the System and Financial  areas?

    Hi Frank

    We sure do.

This is  a sub company that has its own GP install.  Apparently they ran about 50ish JE's with no functional currency set.  The screen shot is a current JE that I am keying.

Would the JE's entered with no functional currency set be screwing up the JE window still?

    hi Tim

It was set up by a VAR that i'm thinking did not follow the checklist as originally no functional currency was set.

I've now set all the settings I can think of, hence the post here.

Hmmmm, what version are they on or were they on when they entered the JE's with no functional currency?  Shouldn't be able to do that in GP2010 or GP2013 but I don't remember what version/SP Multicurrency setup became required even if you're not using it.

    Hi Frank

    It's GP 2010 sp 3

I thought it was not possible also, but there it is.

I've tried check links to fill in the blanks.  On my server a back up of their dbase worked great.  On their server it objects to nothing and the blanks remain.  Telling me that there is some set up difference somewhere.

I don't know if the two things are related, but I'm thinking they may be.

You get this issue if you do not have the Multicurrency Management" checkbox marked within the "Registration" window.

    Tools > Setup > System > Registration

Just mark this option in the "Modules" list and click the "OK" button.

    Hi Oly

Yup - that module was not checked in registration.

presumably now check links will find issue with anything posted and anything unposted will have to have that field populated prior to posting..

    thanks for the wisdom.
