Activate and deactivate button displays on sub grid irrespective of record status

Posted on by 259

Good afternoon,

on sub grids or table views when i select an active record it still displays activate and deactivate, shouldnt it hide the activate option on active records and deactivate on inactive records. this is how it works when we open a record.

This is wave 2 release and im wondering if this is a bug, client gets confused it both buttons are on the screen and you can activate an active d365 record?

I am aware we can use JS to show hide buttons but to have to do this across the system seems excessive.

    Hi una,

Yes, I agree with you. It should be like you said. It is hard to say it's a bug or by design(This is really not a good design).

And use JS to show/hide buttons based on its status is excessive.  We could see it in many places.

So we could create an idea here https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas or contact Microsoft Support to give a feedback.
