    Hi,

I have seen this question a few times (e.g. https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/117/t/180726) but have not seen a clear answer yet.

One partial method is to add all probable file extensions to the blocked extensions list (Settings > Administration > System Settings > General > Set blocked file extensions for attachments). This will not guarantee that some attachments cannot be added, but if users mostly just trying to add images, Office documents and PDFs' you can prevent most attachments using just that method.

I went ahead and created a custom entity for notes and made relationships to all the entities required to use the note entity and that works just as well that way no attachments ever need to be used or uploaded

Believe it or not, I was going to suggest that, but I thought it would be a lot of work and you might not want to go to all that trouble. You made it an Activity type entity didn't you?

How did you disable the Add menu buttons? Ribbon workbench?
