Issues with GL00201 Year1 column during year end close

We recently closed the 2010 year in GP2010.  Afterwards, some of the budget data for the current year - 2011 did not show up in either the GP screens or the FRx reports.

In my research, I noticed that the Year1 column in the GL00201 table had been reset to 0 for some of the records.  I was able to fix the problem by restoring the GL00201 table from a backup.

Has anyone else had this issue?

I could be completely off base, but I think I read that GP 2010 has a historical budget box which is left blank when upgrading and you have to mark it to keep records.  I just looked at GP>Tools>Setup>Financial>General Ledger and on this screen is a screen is a field/box option under the Maintain History section called Budget Transactions.  I beleive this may be the reason for your zeroes, but I am not a guru in this area (or any area for that matter :().
