System error 6906: "Another process has deleted the Detail item. The system will automatically Cancel your changes."

When trying to "Release Now" or "Release Later" on some SL (FP1) payroll batches, we get the system error 6906: "Another process has deleted the Detail item. The system will automatically Cancel your changes." ON checking the records, the transaction type is "CA", which is not on the standard list, but changing this to "CK" like the other batches does not resolve the issue.
