Promote to admin does not work

Hi,

We have a partner account and I'm trying to promote one of the users to Admin when I click the button a confirmation message pop up and when I hit yes nothing happens.

Any Idea what's the problem?

Is this for on premise or online Dynamic 365? What does it show for that users Security Roles in the organization? Does it show the System Administrator role?

Thank you for your reply, it's online and I can change everything except for admin promotion it does nothing. I tried that from different PCs and different browsers still does nothing.
