How to link a purchase document to a sales document ( not using attachment feature)

Hi.

Good day! We are aiming on streamlining the process of linking a purchase document to a sales document. How do we achieve it?

Currently, we are using the opportunity card to track all the opportunities that we have. However, it doesn't have a way to start the creation of purchase document from the opportunity card. Is there a way to associate or create a purchase document just like the sales document?

We have one is to many relationship when it comes to creating purchase quote, thus, leaving us of the purchase quotes that we didn't use. We would like to easily determine (via opportunity card) what we really have used for that particular opportunity.

This is not only pertaining to opportunity cards but to other function in BC that we can use a purchase document link to a sales document.

Thank you in advance.

As standard you cannot create a purchase document from an opportunity, but you can quite easily create an extension in order to add that action for linking opportunities to purchase documents.
