Creating a new organization in CRM 2011 Online

Hi Everyone,

As you can probably tell with the subject line, I'm new to Dynamics CRM. I just joined my company and one of my responsibilities will be to maintain and administer CRM. Currently we do not have a test environment and it is the first thing on my list of to-do’s. Unfortunately a second license is not an option at this time so I'm looking to see how to create a second organization with the license we have. I have done a fair amount of searching but I don't see a document that spells out just how to create a new organization online. Is there a document that describes the steps to do this? What are the pitfalls that I need to be careful of?

Thanks for the help!

Gary

    Here are some steps:

    1. Login to your Office365 portal.

    2. Go to Manage>Microsoft CRM Online

    3. Next to users> select 'Add more'

    4. In the next window, you can add an instance. It doesnt cost at the user level, but there is a 'per instance' monthly cost which is aroun 549/instance/month.
