Trial/Testing Version of GP for Integration Development

Hi,

I am new to the Dynamics GP space and looking to embark on an integration project that involves pushing data to and pulling data from GP, likely using eConnect.  Generally there is a provision with many systems for creating a test environment to develop and test against.  Is such available for Dynamics GP?  I couldn't find anything like an evaluation version or the like for download.  Any suggestions on how I could do create a test environment - legally of course - would be really appreciated.

Thanks!

STeve

Another thing. I don't think the Integration Manager will import A transaction without having the IM reg keys recorded.

    I found a web site that was offering a trial on-line  community.dynamics.com/.../test-drive-microsoft-dynamics-gp-2013-with-a-30-day-free-trial

You will still have an issue with IM, I don't think I've ever seen a trial on that software. If you can import to the sample company, you might be okay to use an unlicensed version of both.

    Kind regards

    Leslie

    Hi Steve,

From your question I understand that you're not a Dynamics GP customer yet ? Do you work for a company that already has a Dynamics GP license ? if not, there is no way you're going to get a 'free' trial license of Dynamics GP.. Though the demo Company that Victoria was talking about doesn't require a license per se, the issue is to get the installation DVD.. if you're not a current customer with a partner, this is going to be hard.

You can try to contact your regional Microsoft office and ask to be connected with the technical advisor that is responsible for the Dynamics GP line of product and be connected to a local partner that would help you setup a demo system..

Dynamics GP is not a product you can purchase off the shelve like Office.

    Hi Steve,

The Dynamics GP license allows for a test/development copy to be installed on a separate environment with the same registration keys that you use in production. Please see #12 here: https://www.calszone.com/documents/microsoft-dynamics-gp-software-license-terms.pdf

For SQL Server you should be able to use a free SQL Developer license in your test environment. So the only thing you would need to worry about is a Windows license and whatever else you might need for your development environment.

    Hope that helps.

When you will install GP it will give you option to create Sample company with sample data you can then use it for development/integration.

    Liked your user name. :)
