Connecting AX 2012 R3 POS from D365 HQ

I have a client who wants upgrade from AX 2012 R3 to D365 FO -Retail. My question is can we able to connect to AX 2012 R3 POS from D365 HQ so that my transactions and stocks are pulled and pushes respectively.
N-N and N-1 pos scenarios
