We have several Excel templates available but our users find it cumbersome to navigate to them.

Has anyone worked out if there's a way to directly link to a specific template to render from a custom ribbon command?

Hi sub contact，

I haven't tried this. You could create a custom button by Ribbon Workbench. Then using the JS in this blog as button's command to have a try.
