no
you cant, theres a minimum price in the item ( lower bound) but it's only a warning...
you need to let them change prices because of maybe sales/errors, etc etc..
I built a module that tracks price changes and a lot more,
like if they have employee discount at 40%, I used to loose a lot on items I make 20%.. I eneded up paying them 20% to get the items , so now app checks margins and applies discount on each line item depending on margin on the item.
THEY always will find a way to mess things up ..
example: disable removing items from pos to prevent ( cash ? no receipt needed ? ok they pocket cash and remove items from POS...) but now they can easily just make that 0 qty and pass along the 0 qty items to next customer....
don't forget they are a lot against you trying to defeat whatever measures you put in place.. had one start windows in safe mode via pulling power cord to get Internet explorer to go to facebook...
now we block a lot at POS level AND router layer 7 but they still try and try and try......
worst ting is that when you use security it implies a lot... like block price change then no discount allowed, block qty then no receive po's etc etc
Go to POS program Set Security them press Ctrl + S and u select the column Quantity or any u need to block, them to the level security of the cashier set no editable and click ok them press Ctrl + S to save changes.

You need to change the security settings in Store Manager, not in Point of Sale.
I'm not really familiar with the software I have administrative rights I didn't understand the process I took some screenshots of what the software looks like
I tried clicking but nothing happened... :/
Yes by disabling change for the quantity column. This is done at the pos(logged in with administrative rights) start by clicking on the left bottom blank button before set customer button then pressing ctrl+s then disable change for the cashier level.
Is there a way that cashiers that i could restrict the cashiers from editing the quantity . Some of them steal by putting 0 in the quantity field and I would like to restrict that if possible...
Thanks Bradley. Did the trick.
Hi
In you Cashier Properties change the return limit to .01.
What this does is prevent the cashier to put negative quantities in or change the price to below .01.
The alternative is to prevent the cashier from being able to change the fields in the POS screen using the security templates
You can use security. I
