"Run Integration" within GP - where is the integration pulling from

I have a client trying to find the source file being used in an integration so that they can update the GL accounts in the file.

The integration being used is available only when using "Run Integration" within GP.

GP >> Tools >> Integrate >> Run Integration

If we try to find the integration from within integration manager, we can't see the integration.  I understand that within IM you need to be pointing to the correct database under Tools >>Options.  We have even opened all databases we see but can not find this one integration.  The same user can run integration within GP but can't see the integration from within IM in order to point to the source file being used.

Does anyone know how we can find this source file?

It's possible that the name you are seeing in 'run integration' is actually the name of an Integration Group.  To find integration group names, you need to select the Objects button at the top of the Object Browser. It's also possible that the particular user has been directed to another location for the database file in his user profile. I would check the integration group possibility first.

    Kind regards,

Fantastic Leslie thank you.  The name is an Integration Group.  I was able to open the group and see the 3 integrations that are part of the group.  Now when I look at the Data Source, it says dsnSubsidiary.  We now have to figure out where that is.  Any ideas? We looked in the ODBC folder hoping we would find something but had no luck.  I have asked the client if they know who originally set up the integration and will see what they say.

    Hi,

Data sources can come from two places. First, they could be using a dsn that was created the old fashioned way through the Windows Control Panel. Most likely, is that the dsn was created within Integration Manager (IM).

To examine DSNs created through IM, hit that Objects button again, and on the left-hand side of that window you'll see a list that includes and item named 'DSNs'. Click on that item and the right-hand side will display a list of DSNs that were created within the IM application. Double clicking on the DSN will display the connection string.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
