Lifetime giving calculation

I just imported new donations and the Lifetime giving number is not including the last donation. How is that field calculated and how do I make sure that calculation is working?

    Hi RyeTeacher,
    LIFETIME GIVING in Microsoft Cloud for Nonprofit displays the date of the most recent donation, and a five-year total of all completed transactions, the balance owing on donor commitments, and completed event registration packages directly received from the contact. Excludes soft credits. This data updates in 30 minutes or less.
