I know Crystal Reports is no longer supported by Microsoft.

Are any of you still using Crystal Reports, despite no support from Microsoft.

Is there any tips in using Crystal Reports with Dynamics GP 2013 or 2015.

Thank You,

MSL

    Hi Mark,

As Richard said, it's not because Crystal no longer ships with GP that it isn't supported anymore (I mean not by Microsoft of course).. but you can use any reporting tools aside of SSRS & Excel that can access SQL databases and read the data with proper access. You can leverage some of the many SQL views that Microsoft provides out-of-the-box for its owen reporting (Excel & SSRS).

If you've been a power-user with CR for many years, there is no reason to switch away from it.. The site GPReportsViewer.com makes heavy use of Crystal as well..

    Mark,

Yes we are developing some custom sales reports using crystal reports for our GP customer ( GP 2013). If you are interested please drop an email to learn, we could help you.

    RE: Crystal Reports

Crystal Reports is still a perfectly good reporting option as are several other reporting tools. You need to create an ODBC connection just as before and understand the underlying database but once the foundation is in place you can create whatever reports you need. Is there a reason why you are using Crystal as opposed to SSRS which comes with SQL? Is it that you are familiar with Crystal and not with SSRS? When you install GP there are a series of reports that can be deployed for SSRS that come standard with GP.
