New Record Create Option

Hi,

 I am system administrator, and have all the organization level roles assigned to me, but in one of custom entity cannot see new button option to create record, in ribbon workbench also cannot see the button, can anyone help ?

    Hi Ganesh,

    In ribbon workbench, open the custom entity and navigate to Hide actions in Solution elements. If you can see the command for new button then please delete it. It might have been made hidden irrespective of the roles and privileges .

    Hi,

    If you are not seeing NEW button itself, then there can be below reasons behind the same.

    1. Either you don't have create permission on the entity.

    • As you are saying you are system administrator (Can you please tell how are you determining that you have system admin role)?
    • You are saying you are unable to see NEW button (Can you share screenshot of the same?)

    2. Either you have customized the ribbon panel using Ribbon Workbench.

    You are saying that you are unable to see the NEW button in ribbon workbench too. (Can you share screenshot of the same?)

    Also, please try one more thing: Open advance find window > Select the entity (on which you have issue) > click on results > Check if you are seeing new/add option there. If you are seeing the option, then it is not security related issue else it must be security related issue.

    Have you worked on sitemap for custom entity ? Also check security role and access mode of user

    Hi Ganesh,

    If you have the System Administrator role assigned to you then you would have the ability to create the record.  Do you have this assigned to you?  

    I would suggest the following:

    1.  Verify other users that are expected to be able to create the entity can.  If they can, assign same role to yourself and see if you can create (again if you have the System Administrator role then this would not be the issue)

    2.   Check a different browser to see if there is some type of issue with the one you are using

    3.  Verify there are no plugins / javascript that are looking to see if you are assigned a specific role if not, removing the button.
