RE: Import tools for Dynamics GP

    hi John,

What are trying to import? For instance, an import tool for Fixed Assets is part of the module.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie

In terms of free integration tools, I would recommend the Macro. It is a totally free, generic and easy to use especially with excel. It records your mouse clicks and keyboard entries. The only disadvantage of it is the slow performance.

On the other hand, GP Excel Paste is one of the essential products that deserves some of your time to look at.

In Master, you don't  just import customer ID or Name you import address and other information too. So it get affect another tables too. I am not big fan of table import. I think Microsoft allow 90days free trial of Integration Manager.

Here is type of Import for Dynamics GP sandipdjadhav.blogspot.com/.../types-of-integration-method-with.html . You can try Macro it is free..

    Thanks

    Hi John,

The only free import option I'm aware of is the GP Table Import feature.  I would generally only recommend it for very simple imports, such as for master records that are very simple and don't affect multiple tables.

If you want to try table import, definitely thoroughly test it on the Fabrikam database or a test database first.

You could potentially also use direct SQL inserts or SSIS, but again, I generally wouldn't recommend those for anything other than simple master records or very specific imports that don't affect multiple tables.
